diesel scr catalyst
Known as the DeNOX-SCR system (Denitrification-Specific Catalytic Reduction), this is an emissions control technology on diesel engines. Its purpose is to eliminate nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollutants before they become exhaust fumes. The catalyst's main job is to turn such poisonous gases into just ordinary nitrogen and water vapor. This whole process depends on an injected liquid reducing agent--usually urea--which reacts with the NOx over the catalyst surface. Technologies adopted for diesel SCR catalysts include: high thermal efficiency that enables rapid light-off,durable washcoat materials capable of both high temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, compact design which achieves minimal back pressure requirements. You'll find the diesel SCR catalyst installed all over the place: heavy-duty transportation, marine, electricity generation... wherever large numbers of diesel engines are in use.
